Giving is a form of worship to God because it represents our appreciation towards God for His many blessings to us. It also represents our attitude and belief towards money; that all of our trust and dependence is in God, not paper. Giving demonstrates that we totally trust in God's provisions for our lives.
Why We Give
The Bible instructs us that we are to worship the Lord through our giving. (1 Chronicles 16:29)
We give because the Lord first gave unto us. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. (John 3:16a)
We give because God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Through the giving of your tithes and offerings you become a vital part in the expansion of God's kingdom helping us reach the lost, the unwanted, the hurt, the weak, the strong, the rich and the poor.
